On behalf of all of us at Goodman’s Jewelers,
We hope that all are paying attention to not just the events of last week, but to the fact that they were just a flashpoint, shining a spotlight on a much bigger and greater issue. We believe we are all of one race; the human race. How we react now will define our future. We support the right to protest and support the movement taking place. Let us be clear, everything in our store is replaceable. They are just things. Nothing can ever bring back the many lives lost and the lasting scars on the family’s hearts. The injustice cannot be tolerated, and we understand that we cannot fully understand. We would also like to take a moment to say thank you to the many people who have reached out and offered their love, support, and assistance. Michael Johnson from the Boys and Girls Club, Madison365, and Paul Delgado, thank you for your efforts to help all the downtown Madison businesses and your unwavering dedication to create the change that is so desperately needed. We will support your mission in any way we can. Thank you to our community, neighbors, friends, and every single person who has reached out. Thank you Alan Robinson, for doing us a great kindness when your heart must have been very conflicted. We are grateful to all of you. Bob and Irwin Goodman always believed that it is our duty to give back to the community that supports us and more importantly, giving and lifting up those that need it most. We are dedicated to rebuilding Goodman’s not to replace the “things” within it, but to fulfill our promise to our community, honor the memory of Bob and Irwin, and work to create lasting change. We are and will be listening. We are still here, and we must go forward with change that is real and effective in creating equality. At Goodman’s we celebrate love and that is what we intend to do.On behalf of everyone here at Goodman’s Jewelers, we sincerely thank you for your support. We are very proud to be a part of this community, and we look forward to working together to make it a better place. Be well and stay safe
On behalf of all of us at Goodman’s Jewelers,
Are you open?
Yes. We are currently open the following days/times:
Monday – Friday 10:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday 10:00am – 4:00pm
Are you requesting clients wear a facial covering?
Yes. We are wearing a facial covering to keep you safe, and we request that you wear one to keep us safe.
Are there limits to store occupancy?
Yes. We can allow 5 clients at a time to shop with us and still maintain safe social distancing.
What safety measures do you have in place?
All staff will be wearing facial coverings. We have installed barriers where staff/client interactions are closer than 6 feet. We are instilling touchless policies where we can, disinfecting touch points between client interactions, sanitizing products between client interactions, and providing liquid hand sanitizer around the store.
Is it safe to have you clean, check, or repair my jewelry right now?
Yes. We will be sanitizing jewelry before and after we handle it.
I don’t feel safe shopping in stores yet. Are there ways I can still shop with you?
Yes. We are currently offering virtual shopping methods (please call us for details), curbside pick-up, and can ship any item directly to you (domestic destinations only, international shipping is currently not available).
My watch needs a new battery. Can you still change my watch battery?
Yes. Watches cannot be sanitized the same way jewelry can, so we will be wearing gloves when we change watch batteries.
I need my ring sized. Can you size my finger at this time?
Yes. In order to accurately figure out your correct finger size, we do need to touch your hand and use a ring sizing tool. We will be wearing gloves, the ring sizing tool will be sanitized before and after every use, and we will provide you with liquid hand sanitizer after we have completed the measuring process.
If you have any questions or concerns that we have not covered, please feel free to reach out to us and we’d be happy to answer them. We look forward to seeing all of you again and thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this time.
On Black Friday, Goodman’s will be offering a limited supply of “doorbuster” gemstone-stud earrings for only $25. Plus, as a gift from us, the first one hundred customers that make a new-merchandise purchase of $495 or more will receive a jewelry travel roll. Of course, Black Friday is just one day. Let’s talk about the good things to come after that.
Among the things we love about being a small business in Madison are the meaningful connections we can build with the rest of the community. There’s a sense of family to it all. We are always looking for ways to nurture this family, particularly through charities that make Madison more livable for more people. So, as the “season of steals and deals” begins, we want to offer good things that go a little deeper than mere discounts. Starting on Black Friday and extending through the end of December, we will be donating a percentage of sales from our Sarah’s Hope Jewelry line to Gio’s Garden. Each Sarah’s Hope purchase will essentially turn into three gifts.
A gift to make your special someone smile. Sarah’s Hope is a gorgeous line of sterling silver and E’Sperene® stones set in sophisticated and versatile designs. Many of the bracelets, pendants, and rings offer interchangeable stones or can be reversed for even more versatility. We find that people who buy one piece tend to come back later for others. And they do so knowing that their purchase support, educate, and empower women around the world….
A gift to women working to stand on their own two feet. With proceeds from its sales, Sarah’s Hope Jewelry funds microloans and small business development programs for women in the USA and around the world. So your purchase can really make an impact. Imagine helping a struggling mother somewhere transition into a successful entrepreneur, all while you help a family right here in Madison….
A gift to struggling families of special needs children. Gio’s Garden works to strengthen families that have children with special needs (birth through 6 years). One way they do that is by providing respite care. This is not just a place to drop off the child so mom or dad can refresh. It’s a comfy haven of learning, nurturing, and love, where kids get individualized care that makes them feel good about being there. Gio’s Garden is striving now to grow into a one-stop special services delivery organization for children with special needs and their families.
A good gift becomes a great gift when it helps someone in need. Stop by between now and December, and find something beautiful for someone you love, that will do something beautiful for someone else!
